The role of Network Pastor Health and Development involves supporting, equipping, and encouraging Pastors and local churches so they can effectively grow their missional presence. It is exercised through relationship and through painting pictures of the future through resourcing and the power of association, where collaboration and unity is valued more than autonomy and individualism, thereby seeking to exhibit the hallmarks of classic Baptist ecclesiology.

The faith communities in our Northern Region are incredibly diverse, highlighting the strength of our ecclesiology outworked in the local context. With this freedom of the local church to discern God’s leading and be what it needs to be in relationship with its local community, we also reocgnise the importance of ‘walking together’ with other churches as part of our regional association and national collective of faith communities. The richness of our diversity, the ongoing health and wellbeing of our churches and our ability to bring gospel renwal to people and places in our local neighbourhoods is made possible as we become faith communities living out the gospel in relationship with God and one another and discerning the mind of Christ in community. We are better together!
