Kaiarahi-a-Rohe mō Te Tai Tokerau
The Area Leader Northland’s (ALN) role is to work with the Regional Leader and other Association staff to ensure the Regional Association and Northland Baptist faith communities are marked out by robust leadership, growing disciples, effective mission and healthy resources. The ALN’s role is to help the Northland Baptist faith communities to associate well e.g., a sense of collegiality, regular communication, healthy clusters, area-wide activities and initiatives, formation of new faith communities etc. The ALN also helps ensure mission remains the DNA of Baptist faith communities in Northland.
Our current leader
Kia ora,
Our 14 Northland Baptist Churches are located mostly in rural or small towns, except for 3 of the faith communities which are in the city of Whangarei (that has an estimated population of 100,000+). Several of the Pastors are bi-vocational.
I’m encouraging our Northland Baptist Church Pastors to build strong and transparent relationships with one another. To pray for and encourage one another. To identify and encourage the next generation to fulfil God’s calling on their lives, to love and serve the Lord, in their community. We recognise the rich gospel whakapapa and history we have here in the north, and we look to reignite the wave of transformation that took place when the gospel transformed tangata whenua in the north and impacted Aotearoa.
